Hi, I’m Lian.

City girl, chronic perfectionist, probably on deadline.

ABOUT

Every time I say I write for a living, I get a little giddy.

I am currently Digital Content Producer at Harvard’s Division for Continuing Education, writing blog posts for DCE’s three core brands and developing content strategy.

Previously, I was the Editorial Production Assistant at the Harvard Gazette, serving as content editor, proofreader, contributing correspondent, and events promotion manager.

I also have extensive experience as a freelance journalist, copywriter, ghostwriter, and proofreader. I’m always on the lookout for my next opportunity to tell a compelling story. I enjoy a challenge and have covered personal finance, lifestyle, art, business and technology, traditional breaking news, local government, and research-heavy features.

Since 2014, the Asian American Journalists Association has been pivotal to my career and to expanding the community I lacked growing up. I now serve as president and UNIFY Coalition representative for the New England chapter, where I am committed to paying it forward by uplifting my fellow journalists of color.

When I’m not tapping away at my keyboard (or staring blankly at an empty Word doc surrounded by Post-It notes), I can be found roaming the city for the best noodle spots, cooking my way through ambitious experiments in my one-bedroom apartment, catching up on The Great British Bakeoff with my partner and my little black cat, Jiji, and organizing my hectic life into dozens of color-coded spreadsheets.

Have an idea of what we can accomplish together? Get in touch and let’s get to work.
